The Bishop of Oswestry is seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Priest (1.0FTE) to minister to these three Black Country parishes that look to the pastoral and sacramental care of the Bishop of Oswestry in the Diocese of Lichfield.

About the role:

  • You will lead the three enthusiastic and deeply committed PCCs and their parishes into a new shared future;
  • You will support the setting up of a Missionary Society working collaboratively with two nearby churches also in the See of Oswestry;
  • You will have a passion for traditional parochial ministry including a real love for funeral ministry and understand its missional potential;
  • To develop the gifts and self-confidence of the laity;
  • To build bridges with schools and other community organisations.

About You:

  • You are a Priest affiliated to the Society of St Wilfred & St Hilda with a mature faith and deep personal spirituality;
  • You are prayerful, warm and have a sense of humour;
  • You are strategic and well-organised;
  • You are naturally collaborative and an encourager of others;
  • You are creative and would enjoy working to develop new things in a new way.
